Host "Sunnyside Weavers" is a group of local weavers:  Francis Richardson leads the group's charitable work to raise funds for Project Horizon in an effort called "A Common Thread".  Mary Barnes weaves garments, shawls and scarves out of natural fibers using many patterns and striking colors.  Catharine Hagan of Catharine Elisabeth Designs creates handwoven throws, shawls, scarves, tea towels and small area rugs using only all natural fibers.  Ruth Tafel of Handwovens by Ruth Tafel creates stories of texture and color in handwoven wearables - scarves, shrugs, wraps and more.  Candy Hargett of Calluna Farm Studios creates handspun, handcrafted yarn and handknit handwovens.   [ Artist email ]

Guest Mary Luttrell creates hand built pottery from locally sourced natural clay and temper from Virginia banks & creek beds. Primitive techniques & tools form each work based off of artifact pottery shards built by our ancestors. Each piece is open-air fired leaving the characteristic free-formed black markings called fireclouds. These are one-of-a kind works of functional art, traditionally used for cooking over a camp fire..  [ Artist email ]

Guest Sudy Dressler does much of her painting in her studio using the many photos she takes, yet she prefers being outside where she can paint directly from nature.   [ Artist website ]  [ Artist email ]

Guest Bill Cobble is the "Fairy Godfather" and his "Forest Fairies" are whimsical fairy sculptures meticulously created of spun copper or stainless steel small gauge wire and mounted on natural stone bases.  Each fairy is uniquely created in motion poses with a signature dandelion seed pouf.   [ Artist email ]
